Project R.a.M.

This project is based on a Cooler Master ATCS 4000. The case is basically a really long server case, which means loads of room for watercooling. UnkleRosco has done a fine job of stripping the case down and getting to grips with modding and polishing the cooling kit.
The the ATCS 400 stripped down and sanded, there's a sweet coat of matte black applied. The paint job is very, very slick.
Many of the components on the inside of the case, such as the watercooling and junction boxes, have been given the polishing treatment. Why not the outside, too? The case has a fairly nifty-looking door, but it's dull, so our man has done a fine job polishing it up. To get such a shiny finish, he used a bench polisher, with three different polishing compounds. Fairly intensive, although not as bad as doing it by hand! Unfortunately, it now appears that the polisher has died, which could put a spanner in the works of the rest of the project.
Getting the interior sorted is going to be a tough job. The case needs to be quiet as well as stylish, which necessitates a custom hard drive housing. Keeping things tidy is also going to be an issue, as we're starting to see in this shot, which has a test fitting / leak test of the Alphacool kit that's been bought in.
It took four hours to get all the kit installed, and you can now see the problem with the ATCS 400 case - it's not very tall! Things are going to require quite a tidy up, but the principle is there - and the black finish looks just as good as we'd hope.
This project clearly has a lot of potential, and we look forward to seeing it edge closer to completion. We'd advise that you add the
